Ireland’s strength in artificial intelligence (AI) was on full display at the National AI Challenge Finals in Galway, hosted by TechIreland with support from Enterprise Ireland, OpenAI, Google Cloud, and Data2Sustain.

Out of 45 teams nationwide, just 15 startups made the finals – including three from Donegal. Among them was Canavan Atlantic, founded by Cressida Canavan, which is using AI to modernise Environmental Impact Assessments and accelerate renewable energy projects.
